Marigold Gel for Acne
Ingredients:
10 rose geranium flowers, with leaves and stems
8 marigold (Calendula officinalis) flowers
20 lavender flowerheads
200ml water
1 sachet vegetable gelatine
5 tsp vodka
20 drops tea tree oil
Instructions:
1. Roughly chop the flowers, leaves and stems of the rose geranium and place with the marigold flowers and lavender flowerheads in a large glass bowl.
2. Bring the water to the boil and pour it over the flowers to make an infusion. Leave to infuse for 10 minutes, or until the water has taken on the colour of the flowers. Place the infusion, including the plant material, into a blender and whiz. Strain the mixture through a piece of muslin into a clean bowl.
3. Now, in another bowl, dissolve the gelatine in 2 tbsp cold water. Gradually add the flower infusion, stirring to separate lumps. Add the vodka and tea tree oil, stirring until a gel is formed. Using a funnel, pour into a pot with a pump dispenser.
USE: Apply to affected areas 2 times a day, or as frequently as needed.
STORAGE: Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. How to get rid of acne on the back and face?
I always used a normal acne cleanser but that wasn't doing anything to treat the acne. I just went to the dermatologist last week and I got two gels to apply to my face, one just before bed and one in the morning. I can tell everything is going to clear up already.
The thing is, these are antibiotic gels and you would need to go to a dermatologist to get them, too. If you have insurance, these gels can run REALLY cheap, about as much as you would spend on the cleansers, so I would say make an appointment.
My doctor also said it may not be from just foods, all different people have different ';allergies'; to different foods. However, it's a good idea to stray from greasy/fatty foods and replace them with fruits and vegetables, plus it'll help your overall health!
Most of the time this mild/moderate acne is hormonal though, which you can't do anything about. So, incase you decide to see a doctor, the main gel was called Aczone, it's brand new and was just approved by the FDA back in November.
Good luck :)
go to the drugstore and get yourself a bar of pan oxyl 5 and use this for your body acne im using it right now and I have moderate back acne and Im already seeing results, theres one problem with benzoyl peroxide and that is the long term results Ive actually seen pretty good long term results with it but with a lot of people there skin will get use to it after maybe a few months and it will return even while using it. Now for the face, you can try this bar but if you see any bad reaction like redness or flaking then I would try something else you could try a benzoyl peroxide with 2.5% or you could even go to home remedies if its mild as you say it is, heres a good one try drinking lemon water at first it will taste sour but you will get use to it and it will actually start tasting good this will cleanse the liver, and you can also apply lemons juice on your face directly but you must wash it off after 10 mins because it will irritate if you dont. You can try this to a mix of honey and cinnamon mask put it on at night and make sure you have a towel on your blanket and when you wake up you can wash it off this could frustrate you though because you might get a breakout in the first few days but it can supposively get rid of your acne foreve after 2 weeks of use it didnt for me but I have moderate acne.
Acne can be embarrassing at the best of times. I would try going into a site called Epinions.com and find out what users are saying about various products. Good hygene which involves regular bathing helps a lot. Good internal health is a major contributor to healthy skin. Consider going to see a wholistic health professional, they have some great supplements. Try and stay away from the junk foods. I鈥檝e also had good luck with a product called Acnezine. Below are a couple of articles I found you might find helpful. All the best!
For me, milk is my enemy. I visited www.notmilk.com and discovered that MANY people have acne problems after puberty because the hormones in milk, and the hormones in an adult or teen body don't mix well. Try going milk free for a couple of weeks. Read the back of EVERYTHING you eat. If it has milk in it, don't eat it. This DOES include hormone free milk. I say this because milk is produced when a cow is post-pregnancy. This cow is full of hormones regardless if the company does or does not add hormones. All I'm asking you to do is experiment and go milk free for two weeks. I did, and I'm acne free. I never thought I'd be acne free! I'm 26 and was still getting pimples regularly until a couple of weeks ago. Best wishes!
Diet:
*a healthy diet is improtant because oily and fatty foods can be a cause of acne
*drink 8-10 glasses of water a day
Skin Care:
1. Soak a towel in hot water(not scorching hot though!) then put it on your face. This will open your pores so that you get more makeup and dirt out when you wash your face.
2. Wash your face with a griddy or foaming facial wash for up to 2 minutes
3. Rinse 2 or 3 times to make sure you get all the soap off
4. Dry face
5. Get a cotton ball, put some alchol on it, and spread it across your face. This will kill any other bacteria left after washing.
6. Repeat twice a day (morning and night before going to bed)
Stay away from oily foods
this might sound a little weird, but if you work at a place like MacDonald's or any other restaurants that use a lot of fat and grease,
it can cause bad acne because there is so much oil in the air. :P i actually find that relatively funny.
wash ur face daily
shower daily
scrub (exfoliate) ur face and back
you can get medicated creams and gels
wear clean clothing. don't wear a shirt twice.
AND! if none of that works over time. go see a doctor or dermatologist.
hope that helped ya
