If all your acne is cleared from a treatment, do you countinue using it to prevent future acne?

I have been using these two products and it has worked very well for my acne. I am completely clear except my skin is dry all the time. Do I countinue using these two products to prevent future breakouts and pimples or do I stop since I am clear? If all your acne is cleared from a treatment, do you countinue using it to prevent future acne?
What are the products?

If the treatment is Retinol/Retin-A based I would use it once a week to keep your skin pores clear. It helps to close them tighter to keep dirt from entering too. If you start to get clogged pores again then use it more frequently. If all your acne is cleared from a treatment, do you countinue using it to prevent future acne?
Actually i wont considering the side and after effects..

if the complaint recurs back the considering moving to an alternate treatment,

I'd continue. I take pills for mine and even though they have a tendency to clear up I still take the pills since it prevents future ones.
definatly continue.
continue. some day you might start to break out again because your face has gotten used to the medicine and i guess at this point you should use something new. thats what been happenning to me with pro-activ.

if your face is dry, use moisturizer after you wash your face.
I lower the amount (except not with the antibiotics.. you have to keep using the same amount the doctor prescribes), but i lower the amount of topical face medicine that I use..

Eventually my breakouts come back and i have to start the medicine again (sometimes I will quit the antibiotics all together and have to start them up again like 6 months later)

But what I Do is i lower the amount so slowly that I can make sure the acne isn't coming back and can keep lowering it.. if it starts up again i'll keep taking it
I would go with the lower the amount suggestion. That's what I would do.
