I am not covered with zits, just a few here and there every once and awhile. I am using oxy cream, is that any worse or better than ones like pro active? also, what can i use that is already at home like fruits to put on them to get rid of them or the scars? What acne/pimple creams actually work? And are there any at home things i can use to get rid of pimples?
ya hi .. jus read your info ..
Natural home made skin care recipes is best for you. You can make it easily with available products in your kitchen and in home.
homemade acne treatment
Follow any 1 method below regularly
homemade acne treatment is to make a paste of honey with cinnamon and nutmeg. All you need is about one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and about half of it nutmeg powder. Add some honey to make enough paste to cover the inflammed area completely. Just lie down as honey may dribble down. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.
Coconut Oil-Coconut oil is a cheap and easily available acne solution. Regular use of coconut oil over a period of time helps to clear your skin.
Lemon Juice-A simple remedy at home for acne: Apply lemon juice regularly to reduce pimples and acne. This has proven beneficial results.
Orange peel-Homemade Acne Treatment using Orange peel has been found very effective. Pound the orange peel with water on a piece of stone and apply to acne affected areas.

thanks bye tc ....What acne/pimple creams actually work? And are there any at home things i can use to get rid of pimples?
Avoid putting anything on your skin that is going to irritate/aggravate it further. Use some common sense there. Benzoyl Peroxide at 2.5% may be good enough for you if you have very light acne. You never need stronger than 2.5% - that's just hype. I never recommend it myself because acne is really an internal problem, not a surface problem so for most people, pimple creams and cleansers aren't effective. Dirt and bacteria on the skin does not cause pimples. If you only get pimples occasionally, it might be stress related because pimples are actually caused by androgen hormones and stress increases your androgen hormone levels. I recommend you check out some of the holistic acne cures to get to the root cause of your acne. Again, treatments that ';dry'; your skin will just irritate your pimples further.
鈥?Hi Nature has its best and permanent cure, you may use the salty sour way to get rid of Acne:
1) It is actually previously proven that salt can be used as an acne home remedy. Just prepare a salt solution (salt added to warm water) and wash your face with it twice everyday. This will remove the excess oil in your face, the main cause of pimples. You actually have an option to add vinegar to it. Apply it directly on the affected area and leave for 15-20 minutes.
2) Another is by applying fresh lemon juice mixed with rose water in your face, leaving it there for 15 minutes. A continuous application of this for 15 days is believed to give you amazing results!
3) On the other hand, ground orange peel added with water to make a paste and applied to the acne can also make your face free of acne again.
4) Lime combined with rose water is also a recommended acne home remedy! apply it on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes then rinse with warm water. Juice made of Papaya apllied on the affected area is another great option.

Please only follow the advice of Cent$ible Beauty. No earwax, no lemon juice, no alcohol, no AHA. Well, AHA's won't harm your skin but they don't do much for acne.
In the link from Cent$ible Beauty it talked about BHA (aka Salycilic Acid) which can penetrate the pore and help with acne. Here's what I would do as a routine.
Wash face (ProActiv, Paula's Choice have good ones)
Exfoliate with a BHA aka Salycilic Acid (Neutrogina and Paula's Choice have good ones)
Use 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide (ProActiv, Paula's Choice have good ones)
If daytime: use suncreen
if nighttime: moisturize (Paula's choice will have a mositurizer that's not going to make you break out more)
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
sounds gross but EARWAX actually dries out the pimple before it gets big and infected... a big pimple can be gone within 2-3 days after using it once. for acne there are natural products that can be purchased online or in stores, most fruit acid acne treatments would do the trick, they might be slightly pricey but there totally worth it.
Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 is pretty good. It zaps them fast. Other than that, use a general mild cleanser and a good moisturizer. If you over-treat your acne, you will probably make it worse. I've done that before, and regretted it.
I know this sounds odd but when i was younger i used orange peel if you squeeze the skin (outside side) it has like a liquid that comes out and i used to put that on my face lightly and it helped with my acne...i can't really remember where i got that information from but it worked for me :)

ProActiv's main ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which is the same ingredient in Oxy cream.
Here's a guide that will help you with your acne: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>
Here is an article with several ideas you can try. I try to keep my face as clean as possible. I also keep my pores open with a warm rag for at least 10 minutes three times a week. This lets all the dirt out..

Regular toothpaste works wonders for drying out pimples. As does rubbing alcohol.
I use neutrogena acne facial wash (it's orange) and it works great. If that dries your skin out, then use some neutrogena skin moisturizer.
You need an AHA product. Look for it as the ingrediant. Neutrogena has it. Its kinda in a greenish product showing thru the tube. Not the toner. Maybe get the scrub.
(alpha-hydroxy....)
Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball, leave for half an hour and wash. Repeat for 15-20 days. Check out http://usefulinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
i've read a lot of good reviews on a product called iqqu.
i haven't tried it myself, but i would reccomend it.
Lemon juice, rubbing alcohol but its the green kind, the tooth paste thing does work but it has to be white no other colors nothing else just plain white that really does work.
Neutrogena has this on the spot 24 hour pimple remover/reducer. it works like magic. the only cons are its in an extremely small tube and it's pricey.
THIS IS MY LONG ANSWER FOR ALL OILY SKIN/ACNE PROBS...TRYING TO COVER ALL I KNOW ABOUT ACNE/SPOT PROBLEMS FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE...SO HOPEFULLY THERE'LL BE SOMETHING HERE TO HELP!!! SOME MIGHT NOT BE RELEVANT DEPENDING ON YOUR SEX BUT I HOPE SOMETHING'LL BE HERE FOR YOU!
I'm 35 and I still get spots/pimple clusters from time to time and even when they go, they leave reddish marks for ages and my skin looks blotchy.
I use clean and clear or neutrogena clear skin - both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. And crazy as it sounds - the toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. I dunno how it works but it does!
Any female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmin contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal, that can sort out the kind of hormonal pimples you might get monthly!
Be careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times.
Also I'd recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex and Omega 369 oils every day because that ensures you're getting the right nutrition and also, the omega oils improve blood flow.
It's an 'old wives tale' type rememdy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X
Also...keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!
Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something like that - made by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.
Don't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exaccerbating the problem.
And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!
I know people say make up's a no no - but because this doesn't block pores and has the added effect of stopping you touching your face too much, I think it's good. You can wear it on its own too and as long as you apply it minimally, it covers but doesn't look like you've got make up on.
Good luck with it hun XX
PS - if you can get them, clean %26amp; clear do these blotting paper things - in the uk I find I have to order them in from Hong Kong or somewhere cos they stopped doing them here - but they're REALLY good.
And if your face gets really greasy, just blot with a tissue if you can't find those. Some tissues are to fluffy so I tend to carry around a few sheets of kitchen roll for the purpose!!!
PPS - If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. I can only use it once a day though because otherwise (even though it's a 'cream-gel') it can make my skin a bit greasy again so I tend to use that at night but only during periods that my skin's doing 'good'!
Because of acne my daughter who was once a happy-go-lucky kid became a withdrawn, morose and depressed teenager!
I never suffered from acne as a kid so I could not properly fathom the extent to which she was suffering because of her acne.
She would never really say much so her mum and I didn't really know how bad things were.
It was only until one day after a particularly trying week that she finally broke down and told us the living hell she was having at school.
It seemed like she had been nicknamed every nasty name under the sun.
Now I was no stranger to being teased because in two of my schools in England I was the only and first black kid! So you can bet I had to contend with some teasing issues but from what I can see kids back then were less cruel than they are these days!
Anyway once her mother and I realized how bad things had gotten for our daughter we really went to task to find an acne treatment and solution that really worked.
We saw doctors, specialists and bought all manner of acne treatment creams but invariably those solutions turned out to be temporary.
It really was heartbreaking to see our little girl all sunshine and smiles one day just to have the acne reappear (sometimes even worse) and then she'd become even more depressed and withdrawn.
I'm happy to say though that was then and today she's a very happy well-adjusted 16 year old with her very own boyfriend and no acne.
How did that happen?
One day while doing research on how to treat acne I stumbled upon this website that made me understand to get rid of acne permanently you need to have a multi-system approach rather than just trying to get rid of the pimples.
Even though your acne is nowhere near as severe as my daughter's was, I have listed the URL of that website below in case you're interested.
Anyway good luck!
