What is the best acne product to clear up your face?

My face keeps breaking out, and i want to try proactive, but people tell me it makes you break out worse. Does anybody know if it's good? Or is there better?What is the best acne product to clear up your face?
I tried proactive and it made my face worse. They said that's nromal just wait it out. Well when your trying to fight blemishes you want results. I also tried skin ID rather expensive and no results.
