I was prescribed doxycycline and Retin-A when my skin suddenly started breaking out a couple months ago. I'm still on the antibiotics (I don't think they are helping) and I use the Retin-A cream when I get a new breakout, but I can't use the cream all over as prevention. It dries my skin out horribly.
I also use the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions kit and that's always kept mine clear. It only started breaking out recently because of stress (and because I had stopped using the Neutrogena kit thinking I no longer needed to). What kind of acne medication is my pediatrician likely to prescribe?
You need to stay away from processed sugar products, processed foods, fast food, and the chemicals enhanced processed food products
Acne is caused by a build up of poisons in the body.
Drink a lot of good clean water about a gallon a day will help flush the poisons out of you body.
No sodas, or caffeine, some organic juices are ok.
Wash your face with water and use witch hazel for a deep cleaner.
Avoid soap as soap attracts and hold dirt in the pours.
Alcohol irritates and dries the skin
Drinking red clover tea, it will also help flush poisons out of the body.
Go to a health food store and they will get you what you need.
It will work better than doctor med's and usually cost less.
Not antibiotics, not creams and others. Apple Fast Method. Eat 10 or more Red Delicious Apples per day.
My acne never returned. I usually go on the apple diet every six months or so. I realize, however, that there are those who just will not do the apple fast. It is the primary method I recommend.
There are other additional methods you can use in conjunction with the apple fast or alone. All have proven benefits. Only the apple fast, however, usually gives the 3 - 4 days result.
Probably something that will only work if you keep taking it and when you stop you'll start breaking out again. I've tried everything and this is the only thing that worked for me.
