I have tried pro active, clean n clear, and nutrigena and am out of ideas! Thank you!!!!!What are good acne cleaners that prevent and get rid of current acne?
Hi Donna

The first thing to do when treating acne is to have a plan, the one I would suggest is a 5 point plan as follows:

1. Cleanse your skin at least 3 times a day as follows: use soap and water but make sure the soap is very gentle and does not contain detergents or mineral oil. You can find one at various Natural or Organic skin stores. Blot your face dry with a towel don't rub it.

2.Exfoliate your skin using a facial polish - this helps to normalize oil production and improves the skin surface. Do this twice a week

3. Use a skin toner - this helps to remove and prevent blackheads by removing soap residues, impurities and make up residues, it also helps to restore the correct Ph value. You can use a spritzer or cotton wool buds to apply it.

4. Use a day and night acne cream which kills and prevents bacteria and at the same time moisturizes your skin.

5. Finally - Make-Up - try not to use make-up in the period when you are treating your skin. I know this will be difficult but it will pay off. If you must use make-up - use a make-up without mineral oil - use instead a dry mineral, natural ingredient based make-up.

All the above products can be found on the internet by searching for Natural or Organic Acne Treatment Products - but don't just go for the first ones you find, really search for products which comply with the steps I've shown above.

Oily skin can cause pimples, rough pores, blackheads and other embarrassing blemishes.

This condition is caused when the sebaceous glands are overactive and begin producing excess oil. This makes the skin shiny and causes the pores to become enlarged. This condition can be caused by heredity, diet, hormone levels, certain cosmetics, excessive exposure to humidity and heat, pregnancy and birth control pills.

While mostly prevalent in teenagers because of changing hormonal activity, it can affect people at any age. However, as people outgrow adolescence their skin becomes dryer, thus decreasing the amount of oily skin and blemishes. Its not uncommon for a young person to see their skin progressively improve once they enter their twenties.

Skinoren (Azelaic Acid) This medication is used in the treatment of mild to moderate acne.

Tretinoin is used in the treatment of acne. It reduces the formation of pimples and promotes quick healing of pimples that do develop, especially in the case of blackheads, pimples and papules.

Accutane (Isotretinoin) This medication is used to treat severe cystic acne (also known as nodular acne) that has not responded to other treatment (e.g., benzoyl peroxide or clindamycin applied to the skin or tetracycline or minocycline taken by mouth). It belongs to a class of drugs known as retinoids. It works by decreasing facial oil (sebum) production. High amounts of sebum can lead to severe acne. If left untreated, severe acne may cause permanent scarring.
The way I see it a chemical-based solution may do harm to your sensitive skin. Best way to approach this predicament is using home remedies that uses natural and organic ingredients. You can consult this site http://www,get--rid--of--acne.com for more solutions.
I was also having the same problem, Once I started to exercise regularly and eat less fatty food, my acne began to really clear up. I can not say that it went away completely right away. That would be a big fat lie. But it did get steadily better, until it was really not that bad.
Apply tea tree oil to the area several times each day. Some research indicates that tea tree oil is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide, the number one over-the-counter acne treatment.
ok well i actually use a tiny dab of honey on my spots...i dont get many but when i get one i dab it on at night and in the monrning its nearly gone. seriously try it.
apricot scrub works really good for minor acne... if u have fairly oily skin consider buying a couple of products from the Biore acne treatment line and use once
did you try the clean n clear set? it works really good. within a day it gets better and within a week most of mine was gone.

WONDERFUL!

Hi

There are many ways that can help you to treat your acne.

check these helpful methods that helped me to cure my acne:

Water

Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.

Sunshine and fresh air

Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in the body - an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce stress and increase oxygen to the skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so take a 10 minute walk outside every day. Don't get burnt in the sun though - apart from increasing the risk of skin cancer, burnt and heavily tanned skin forms a thick layer on the skin's surface that doesn't exfoliate quickly enough and leads to blocked pores.

Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates

There is recent research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.

Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne

Your bed sheets

Keep your bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of natural body oils.

Wash your face

Wash your face one time a day. Don't over wash , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. Or use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.

Anyhow, don't go out and buy those ';get rid of your acne in one day'; systems that are offered all over the place, they just don't work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to get rid of acne and you will need at least few weeks to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to treat your acne immediately.

If you really want to get rid of your acne there are two recommended ways that should combined together for best results.

Firstly and most important you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few recommended Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their books they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

You can find helpful and honest review about one of the best systems today in this great article:

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are many acne skin care products available in the market right now and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

I hope that these tips will be helpful for you
